About Us

Fairbanks Society for Health Education is dedicated to advancing public and professional understanding of cancer, blood disorders, complex diseases, and hospice care.

We aim to do this through accessible education, community partnerships, and evidence-based training, we seek to promote informed choices, compassionate care, and healthier lives for those across the Interior of Alaska.

What are we up to?

We are currently planning the inaugural Fairbanks Oncology X-change (FOX) conference to be held in 2027 where we will invite subject matter experts to share their knowledge with the Fairbanks medical community.

We look forward to this opportunity to introduce ourselves to the community while providing high-quality educational opportunities to our local health care workers.

We see the FOX conference as an opportunity to strengthen continuation of care between primary and specialty care providers in Interior Alaska. Introducing Oncology and Hematology education along with other subspecialty topics that relate to treating patients with cancer or blood disorders.

We at FSHE look forward to finding ways to support current and future healthcare workers (Medical Assistants, Pre-Clinicians, Nursing Professionals, Advance Practice Providers and Medical Students).
